Transform Lives by Feeding the Fasting & Earn Your Reward

Giving Hands treats the provision of Iftar meals as an amanah and delivers them with compassion, responsibility, and ihsan. Every Iftar meal donation is carefully used to support those who are fasting in hardship, including the poor, displaced families, orphans, widows, and individuals whose access to food has been disrupted by conflict, disaster, or poverty.

Our teams conduct on-the-ground assessments to identify families and individuals most in need of Iftar support, prioritising those with limited or no means to prepare meals at sunset. Iftar meals are then prepared and distributed directly by Giving Hands teams, providing nutritious food at the time it is needed most. Through this thoughtful and dignified process, Giving Hands ensures that every Iftar meal brings comfort, preserves dignity, and allows those facing hardship to break their fast with peace and gratitude.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Iftar Meals campaign?

The Iftar Meals campaign provides warm, nutritious meals to individuals and families who are fasting but lack the means to prepare food at sunset. Through this campaign, Giving Hands supports vulnerable communities during Ramadan by ensuring they can break their fast with dignity.

Iftar meals are distributed to those most in need, including poor and low-income families, displaced people, orphans, widows, refugees, and individuals affected by conflict, disaster, or food insecurity.

Where are the Iftar meals distributed?

Iftar meals are distributed in regions facing poverty, conflict, and humanitarian crises, including areas where access to food is limited. Giving Hands works with local teams on the ground to reach communities most in need.

How are beneficiaries selected?

Giving Hands conducts thorough needs assessments through trusted field teams and local partners to identify individuals and families who are fasting and have little or no access to food for Iftar. Priority is given to the most vulnerable.

What does my donation provide?

Your donation helps cover the cost of preparing and distributing Iftar meals, including staple foods, hot meals, packaging, and delivery to those fasting in hardship.

Can I donate any amount?

Yes. Donations of any amount are welcome. Even a small contribution can help provide an Iftar meal and make a meaningful difference in someone’s Ramadan.

Is my donation used specifically for Iftar meals?

Yes. Donations made to the Iftar Meals campaign are allocated specifically for providing Iftar meals, unless otherwise stated or required due to urgent needs, in accordance with Giving Hands’ donation policy.

Is donating Iftar meals considered Zakat?
